SimpleFileTools provides a web tool and an API that compare two PDF documents and report the differences between them. By using the service you agree to these terms.
You must have the right to upload the documents you compare. We process them only to produce the comparison and discard them afterwards, as described in the privacy policy.
Free accounts have a monthly comparison quota. Paid plans are sold as fixed periods of access and do not renew automatically. Quotas and page limits are as published on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Enterprise terms are set out in a separate agreement.
You may not use the service to process documents you are not entitled to, attempt to circumvent limits, probe or disrupt the service, or resell access without an enterprise agreement.
The comparison engine is deterministic and designed to report every textual change, but it depends on the text layer of the PDFs you provide. Scanned documents without a text layer, corrupted files and unusual encodings can produce incomplete results. The output is a review aid; you remain responsible for decisions made on the basis of it.
The web tool and the public API are provided without an uptime guarantee. Enterprise customers receive a service level agreement.
To the extent permitted by law, SimpleFileTools is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
If a paid plan does not work for you, email us within seven days of purchase and we will refund it.
